Hey there Kailee. I’m just waiting on some behind the scenes stuff to get approved before I can open up membership. I’ll let you know. Our E-Zine subscribers are going to have first dibs on membership so make sure you’re signed up and stay tuned.

hey goalueguru, my coach told me to shampoo my new stick he said that it will make the mesh deeper… how do you feel about shampooing hard mesh to make it deeper

  11. goalieguru says

Aaron I’ve heard alot of “tricks” to make mesh deeper and the majority of them don’t work. I wouldn’t shampoo my stick. What I would do, especially if it is new, is to soak the pocket in water and then let it dry overnight with some weights in the mesh while it dries. I soak all of my mesh before I string it up. Then I suspend the head across two chairs so that the mesh hangs freely. Put the weights in their with three lacrosse balls in a row from top to bottom. When the sticks dry you now have a mesh that has already been wet once but has dried with a good pocket in it.

That’s my suggestion. Anyone else? Skip the shampoo. You don’t want your stick smelling like you’ve got dandruff or something.
