Introduction  Hey guys. It’s Coach Edwards from LacrosseGoalieTips.com and LacrosseGoalieUniversity.com. I got an email that I discussed on our free teleseminar last week. I want to touch on it here. I’m getting more and more of these this year, which kind of surprises me. They’re all in this kind of tone, so I’ll read it to you. I’m going to change the name, because I don’t want this person to be upset or found out or whatever. Listen to this and you’ll be surprised. Hello Coach Edwards.  I had this question. My high school’s goalies are both going to be seniors next year when I’m in 8th grade. Because I play on an older team, most of my team knows the high school player, so all the high school players know about me and are excited for me to come there in 2 years because my teammates told them I’m good? Do You Play Multiple Sports? You Should.

Dom Starsia, the head lacrosse coach at the University of Virginia is notorious for recruiting “athletes” who play lacrosse and not just lacrosse players. And any strength and conditioning coach worth his salt will tell you that a well-rounded “athlete” will beat a lesser athlete with equal technical skills. You can check out the Forbes article here. Have a read, and then be sure to leave me a comment below. Coach Edwards...

Introduction Hey guys. It’s Coach Edwards and LacrosseGoalieTips.com and LacrosseGoalieUniversity.com. This week I have probably my most controversial post: What the lacrosse goalie of the future is going to look like. Over the years, I’ve been doing this for a long time now, and I think one of the things that has really helped me as a coach is dealing with goalies, not just within one area but all over the world. I get emails every week from goalies somewhere in the world. What’s interesting is that I get to see a lot of commonalities. I get to see a lot of challenges, a lot of problems. What’s always fascinating to me is I get a lot of the same questions, no matter if that’s coming from Long Island, some of those traditional hotbeds like upstate New York, or some of the newer hotbeds like Minnesota. Shout out to all my guys in...
